Straightforward Reporting by a Shipping Expert on Just How Bad It Is

This is Sal Mercogliano. I found him years ago when researching shipping stocks and again last year when trying to make sense of the tariffs, port fees and Greenland events. If I have it right he is retired from merchant marine and is now a college professor.

His channel has been a great resource to me as I try to follow developments. Today's episode got me to finally share him on here for others who may have interest in independent (one guy) media sources. Let me know if you find it of value and feel free to share any similar channels in the thread!

shore launched missiles and its many mini 7 man subs that have both torpedos and minds. Maybe they are just playing with tRump at this point. I know experts are saying there needs to be boots on the ground to fully secure the shoreline. There may be too few targets that Iran can hit with the limited range Silkworms types and their numerous unguided 1 to 3 stage missiles are mainly just point and shoot, have 300 to 1500 KM range.

that no administration understands shipping, but particularly this "maladministration."

Senator Gary Peters said the same thing he's saying: navigating the strait should have been figured out before they started the bombing. There is not enough of a presence to escort ships through--neither by air or by sea. Iran doesn't want it closed--they have their own oil they need to get out.

I liked this guy. I think he's unassuming and knows a great deal about shipping.

Not only about shipping but about re-insurance, the Jones Act, merchant marine, tariffs, etc and now, war strategies or the lack therof.
