In 2022, PRRI pioneered one of the most comprehensive measures of Christian nationalist ideology. This year, we build on that foundation, sharing new findings from the 2025 PRRI American Values Atlas, which draws on more than 22,000 interviews to provide the most up-to-date, state-level picture available.
Additionally, the new report examines the impact of Christian nationalism on attitudes toward political violence and authoritarianism, as well as debates over immigration and childhood vaccine mandates. PRRI's webinar unpacks these findings and what they reveal about the political landscape today.
Panelists:
Ruth Ben-Ghiat, Ph.D., Professor of History and Italian Studies, New York University
Fr. Bryan Massingale, S.T.D., James and Nancy Buckman Chair in Applied Christian Ethics, Fordham University and PRRI Senior Democracy Fellow
Robert P. Jones, Ph.D., President and Founder, PRRI
Melissa Deckman, Ph.D., CEO of PRRI

(5,318 posts)They said they asked a series of 5 questions to determine the level of CN, but I also cant find those questions. Right off the bat, they need to clearly define what this research means by CN and how they arrived at those factors. Otherwise, survey participants are reacting to a CN label that can actually have a wide array of meanings.
The video might define it but I didnt watch the video.
EDIT: Wait I found the five questions in the associated slide deck:
The U.S. government should declare America a Christian nation.
Being Christian is an important part of being truly American.
If the U.S. moves away from our Christian foundations, we will not have a country anymore.
U.S. laws should be based on Christian values.
