The Zorro Ranch in New Mexico was bought by a Republican and his wife. He is currently running for comptroller of Texas.
While the state of New Mexico has plans to search the home it is currently having the interior demolished in a complete renovation.
It is apparently the plan of this Republican couple to use the ranch as Christian home for troubled teens.
Yes, you read that correctly.
These depraved assholes are planning on shipping troubled teens to a remote home in the desert that was once very likely used to rape, torture and murder children.

(11,988 posts)I work in state government and we use drones with Lidar to do topographical maps and reveal all kinds of stuff.
It does it by analyzing subtle changes in topography elevation and ground density on a minute scale.
It's even used by archeologists to reveal ancient structures that may be hidden by trees, underbrush or sand.

(5,595 posts)I didn't allow for blending of tech, Drones+Lidar.
Thanks for the correction.

(11,988 posts)A good example of what I'm talking about is a National Geographic archaeologist named Albert Lin who hosted a show called 'Lost Cities'. He used that tech as a central component of his research.

(101,414 posts)I was working with some Lidar data in grad school, it was in its infancy then but I could see the potential for archaeology and it has proven true since then.

(2,145 posts)Other than a layman's interest in geology, I have no training or education in that topic. But I LOVE looking at LIDAR photos of the earth. In particular to see old river courses, changes in the topography of landscapes etc. It's just fascinating to me that such a thing can exist to show what once was and how things have changed over the eons.

(11,988 posts)They are working on it but I have a feeling by the time they have their ducks in a row it will be way too late.
Ultimately, the FBI and the people manipulating the situation over the years are to blame for why they never searched that home. I believe them not searching that home is it's own criminal conspiracy.

The investigation of Zorro will be done and done accurately.
We are right next to Texas.....but we AIN'T Texas!

(3,716 posts)... Doesn't the State of New Mexico have the legal authority to halt any and all demolition and/or construction in the interest of preserving potential evidence? They had sufficient probable cause to initiate an investigation, so...?

(11,988 posts)When the person that wants to open that business is obviously an accountant/finance guy (I assume since he is running for comptroller of Texas) so it seems odd.
