I will admit its use in the UK and Australia is deeply comic.

And yes, it is a slur that is useful when describing the deeply depraved Pam Bondi.

But I'm not gonna say it. Out loud.

The word * cunt* is the ultimate of vulgarities here in the US but used quite freely in other countries so it’s the power given the word, as you say. If one considers Pam Bondi the ultimate of vulgarity and wants to use the word, I’m not going to argue..if the shoe fits kinda thing with me.

I don't feel the need to use a gendered slur in our society. The term doesn't make me wince if used in a British context, but in the American context it does, even if used against someone I think is a clownish cretin.

I try to consider my audience when I am writing or speaking, and I try not to offend with out reason. And if I did not mean to offend, I will apologize.

However, I will say whatever I want, whenever I want, and to whomever I want. If that offends some one, that may have been my intention.

It si really gross to see this word advocated here at DU.

When I worked in the hospital, we had a psych patient who was being admitted to a real psych hospital. We knew her well. She had tried to jump off balconies and elevated parking lots in our facility. We were waiting for an officer to pick her up for transport and she would not get dressed. She had on a hospital gown and that is all. She had clothes. Her nurse tried to reason with her and got called "cunt", the word had the desired effect on the nurse. I was the supervisor. I did not let it me even though the patient had an impressive grin on her face. I walked in and told her she could call me anything but either she got dressed or the cop and I would dress her. She backed down and got dressed. I told the nurse I understood her reaction. When used like that it is awful. Just so you know, later on the patient set fire to her apartment building and did some serious time.

But if I used the word, Pam Bondi and Karoline Leavette would bet the target.

Just as, in the film "Kingpin," the word for a loser was the surname of the lead character--a MUNSON.

From here on out, any petulant, bratty, unjustifiably contemptuous human who sounds like the current AG--well, I'm simply going to call them a BONDI.

As in, "Hegseth is such a Bondi." (Add Patel, Homan, Miller, and the champion Bondi of them all, Caroline Leavitt.)
