Fetterman disappoints again--supports SAVE act

https://www.abc27.com/pennsylvania-politics/fetterman-backs-save-act-says-voter-id-not-jim-crow/

(WHTM) — U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) broke with his party again this weekend by backing a Republican-led effort to require identification when voting in federal elections.

The House is set to vote this week on the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, which proposes requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote and valid identification to cast a ballot.

Democrats largely oppose voter ID laws because they argue that they would disenfranchise voters. Fetterman rebuffed those worries in a weekend appearance on Fox News.

“It’s not a radical idea for regular Americans to show your ID to vote, and absolutely those things are not Jim Crow or anything,” Fetterman said. “Of course, that’s part of an awful, awful legacy of our nation.”

Then again what the fuck else is new with him.

KARMA is coming, a'hole. We all supported you in a very vulnerable time when no R would have done so, (had you been a Republican at the time). Now, you sell this nation out--why? Just to keep Trump from launching a well-funded candidate against you? Or to keep him from saying nasty things about you? Or going after your wife to try to attack her--even though she is a naturalized US citizen (born in Brazil)?

Why, Fetterman, why?

Fetterman should be test-studied to examine how a stroke can drastically change a person's character and personality.

being turned away at the polls because they never officially changed their surnames after getting married? WTF, it’s obvious who he’s working for and it’s not the Democratic Party. Eff this turd.

when their name doesn't match their birth certificates? I know people like that. And no licenses for common law marriages of 20-60 years. That will affect elderly people if their data wasn't converted to digital. My husband researched nearly every county in deep south Texas and couldn't find his parents marriage license.

Not sure why he is playing dumb on this. This was settled by the Pennsylvania Courts in 2012.

And once again, you cannot register to vote if you are not a US citizen. You cannot register to vote without providing ID.

his wife Gisele’s citizenship. Born in Brazil she was an undocumented immigrant, got her green card in 2004 and became a citizen in 2009. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were using leverage.
I still think it’s more likely he is just an ass.

And this guy won't be in the party or senate much longer. Pretty much dead weight at this point.
