I bought and reread the 50th anniversary edition of that book. It does not seem that long ago.

When I read your title - "Then and now" it reminded me of one of the greatest flat picking guitar albums with the same name. Father and son duo of Doc and Merle Watson. Talent and taste personified.

Will it go the way of the Kennedy Center?

I'm cancelling my subscription. Maybe should have done it sooner but I still saw some good in it.
I remember reading it daily during Watergate. The institution was godlike to me.
