Ford F-150 Plant Worker Who Pissed Off Trump No Longer Suspended

Last month, U.S. President Donald Trump had a bit of an incident while touring the Dearborn Truck Plant, where the Ford F-150 is built. While walking around that facility, a worker yelled at the President, calling him a "pedophile protector." After that happened, Trump directed an expletive at the worker and raised his middle finger in their direction. Shortly thereafter, we learned that the worker - TJ Sabula - had been suspended from his job by Ford, pending an investigation into the matter.

Now, it seems as if that worker is no longer suspended, according to Shifting Gears. The details surrounding his return are currently unknown, as Ford isn't commenting on the matter - and neither is the United Auto Workers (UAW) union that represents him - while Sabula himself hasn't returned any calls. However, he was reportedly placed on paid leave following the incident, during which time the automaker worked to determine if he violated workplace rules, and mulled concerns over the politically divided workplace he would return to.

Previously, a Ford spokesperson stated that "one of our core values is respect and we don’t condone anyone saying anything inappropriate like that within our facilities," adding that "we have a process to deal with it but we don’t get into specific personnel matters." Sabula later admitted that he didn't regret his decision to confront Trump, though he admitted that he was worried about the status of his job and potentially being “targeted for political retribution." Meanwhile, a Go Fund Me set up to support him quickly raised hundreds of thousands of dollars before it was paused.

The United Auto Workers (UAW) union that represents Sabula has thus far supported the worker amid a contentious relationship with the President that dates back to his campaign. According to this new report, Laura Dickerson, UAW vice president and director of the Ford Department, reiterated that the union is working to ensure that Sabula receives his negotiated rights and benefits. https://fordauthority.com/2026/02/ford-f-150-plant-worker-who-pissed-off-trump-no-longer-suspended/
