Savannah Guthrie's mother is missing, possible foul play

"The 84-year-old mother of NBC’s TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie has been reported missing in Arizona as law enforcement drones and K-9 teams join a desperate search.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen late Saturday evening at her home outside Tucson, according to local authorities. Her family reported her missing around noon Sunday, said Chris Nanos, the Pima County sheriff.

Nanos told reporters that what deputies encountered at the property immediately raised alarms. Homicide detectives were called in to process the home, NBC News reported, a step the sheriff acknowledged is not standard in missing persons cases, adding that foul play could not be ruled out at this stage."... Warning: this video is 36" long, but it's by Ashley Banfield, who does some very thorough crime reporting from her youtube channel. I've been watching her reports on the Ohio dentist and his wife who were murdered, allegedly by her former husband, a surgeon.

Savannah Guthrie’s Mother Was Taken From Her Home Against Her Will, Police Say: ‘A Race Against Time’

Savannah Guthrie’s mother Nancy Guthrie remains missing as of Tuesday morning, and authorities in Arizona are now saying the 84-year-old was taken from the home against her will in a “possible kidnapping or abduction overnight.”
“It is a race against time and I hope that window hasn’t closed,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told NBC News’ Liz Kreutz in an interview shared early Tuesday morning on “The Today Show.”

The elder Guthrie was last seen Saturday night after being dropped off at her home near Tucson. Her family then reported her missing Sunday at around noon local time after she missed church services.
