OMG. Firefighters in Midland, TX pluck immigrant workers off the rooves of construction projects for arrest.

Must now add firefighters to the ICE hall of shame. After so many have come here to help during US disasters. SMFH.

I’ve never known a liberal firefighter. They are prone to recruitment by authoritarians.

My response was carefully worded—I worked with firefighters and police as a medic for almost 20 years. I have many firefighter friends—my nextdoor neighbor is a firefighter—it’s just my locale is dominated by non-liberals. Not everyone I’m sure.

They’ve been ranting to me since Clinton was president.

Is like judging the entire nation for TSF in the Oval Office. It’s simply not an accurate reflection of the populace.

...you can damn sure pull voters off the rolls. Ask Harris County about that. Even in my county, if your face isn't lily white, you might find you can't vote.

They always bring in huge crews of immigrants for the initial rapid response. In New Orleans, they even have a statue to thank the immigrants who responded after Hurricane Katrina.

With insurance skyrocketing already due to climate change, a big hurricane and no labor to rebuild would likely cause a housing crash that may not remain localized to just Florida.
