Tourism Down 21 billion - America First Has Its Consequences.

Las Vegas is hurting, Canadians are boycotting America.

I imagine that people from other countries are too.

Hey but we are going to have a record stock market.

If I have it correct, consumption taxes are Florida’s primary source of income. Wonder what declining tourism will do to that base

But 21 billion what? According to the U.N. population statistics, there are roughly 8 billion people in the world. Have they made multiple visits in the past?

So, I ask again, 21 billion what? Please provide your source.

The stock market is showing that we basically have a K-shaped economy, largely propped up by AI speculation.

I would also be curious to see what percent of the economy is dependent on tourism. I’m not justifying ICE policies at all (you can see my post history), but I’d rather be precise here when we’re discussing the numbers. A lot of the states that are dependent tourism also voted for Trump (Nevada and Florida for example) so my sympathy is limited to be honest.
