The Portland Frog Brigade: the art of peaceful protest - funny and effective. Whimsy as a tactic. No Kings.

https://www.portlandfrogbrigade.com/

The Portland Frog Brigade is committed to artfully exercising our First Amendment right to Free Speech through peaceful protest, while educating and inspiring others to make their voices heard through nonviolent artivism.

We believe that whimsy is a weapon. We believe that joy, creativity, and absurdity can expose the moral bankruptcy of authoritarianism more effectively than anger alone.

We protest peacefully, using spectacle and humor to disarm propaganda and counter the narrative that Portland is a “war zone.” It isn’t. It’s a community of people who care enough to show up — sometimes with our freak flags flying — to remind the nation what democracy looks like when it still has a sense of humor.

The Portland Frog Brigade is committed to artfully exercising our First Amendment right to Free Speech through peaceful protest, and supporting those who work to eradicate suffering and injustice.

Here’s why we stay peaceful.
And how we comport ourselves.
And how you can do it too.
And help spread the word!
