it's not just the murdering of people on manufactured pretexts. It's the delight they take in doing so.
it's not just the random and gratuitous brutality they engage in. it's that they enjoy it.
psychopathy is on full display. they celebrate it.

(12,191 posts)reports said Trump was glued to the coverage and couldn't be moved. Also, modern command centers have real time satelite and drone imaging. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump was in an easy chair, sporting a toothpick, while it all went down.

it's not even credible that the order to murder the survivors did not come from him. he said it, then he leaned in eagerly to watch two humans die horribly.

barbtries
(31,025 posts)it's likely that many of the service members are so in the tank for krasnov they don't think what they're doing is a crime. that they've soaked up the psychopathy and are brainwashed or were always that way.
for the rest, I feel for them and hope they can summon the courage to refuse unlawful orders.

(114,295 posts)and you can bet spending will be down this retail season because people are afraid of what's coming. Next year will be worse as his stupid tariffs continue to bite hard and I have a feeling he'll resign to enjoy his pension some time after the midterms when Congress is no longer a simple rubber stamp and begins to revisit some of the outrages contained in his Bloated Bill for Billionaires. He is really, really not going to like dealing with an equal branch of government.

i'm loathe to spend as usual this holiday season. though i'm on SS and medicare, my costs are still going to be prohibitive health care wise and every other normal bill i pay monthly. I work but only part time and I'm just economically more scared than I've been in about 20 years.

(3,240 posts)One would think that there would be consensus here about the "murdering of people on manufactured pretexts." Yet I just read a post calling it "legal" and "appropriate."
barbtries
(31,025 posts)if they can justify it legally in my world that will not make it right. but i am not at all convinced that they can.
what they say is their pretext does not pass the smell test. If this "had" to happen, they would have had to present the case to Congress to make it legal, I believe. Like Iraq, which they lied their asses off to get that abomination to happen.

At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.

(7,162 posts)promote any religion whatsoever, it's always the Old Testament, proves it. The OT of the Bible is full of sadistic behaviors and that's really the only part of the bible they profess. And they will always end up turning to it in the end... because it's the last refuge of the stranded man.
