Did MTG start a snowball rolling downhill?

No Republican dared to criticize their Dear Leader until Marjorie did it. Now, it seems like she gave a license to other MAGA loyalists to separate from the cult?

There is an election in Tennessee today, in a bright red area of Tennessee, and if the MAGA Republican loses, or only wins by one or two points, then it could spell trouble for the Republicans in the next election. Today's election could be a bellwether for things to come?

Until Marjorie went public with her criticisms, and her defense of the Epstein victims, no one would speak ill of Donald Trump. I don't know if that is the case today?

This election will tell us a lot about where MAGA stands with Trump, in my opinion.

2. MTG is not as dumb as she is abrasive

but Massie was there before her.

As for today, both sides underplaying their hand, ready to pounce on a victory.

Not to impugn MTG's intelligence (maybe uneducated, maybe not), but Massie is a pretty smart guy. Very misguided, but smart.

4. Republican's sense Trump's weakness. They're getting ready to pounce.

Like wolves following a herd of deer, they keep their eye out for weakness. As soon as one starts to fail, they begin to nip at it’s heels until one or more go for the throat. That’s happening here. And Trump is showing his weakness more and more.

Which brings me to the media. Eventually, they are going to have to start reporting on his physical and mental decline. Once any outlet starts to do that with any degree of honesty, the others will have to join in. Finally, they’ll pile on.

I think the 25th Amendment will come into play before his term is up. Unless, of course, he makes a deal with Vance and Theil to quit early in return for a pardon, an increasingly likely prospect.

Vance would be a disaster as president. It would set off some kind of civil war, like the end of the 2nd Triumvirate.
He has no charisma, and his faction of supporters consists of like 4 of the least-liked billionaires on the planet.
All the big shots are going to take one look at this, look in the mirror and whisper "YOLO...." and suit up to take the throne.

He's rapidly unraveling, both physically and mentally. His henchgoblins will try to pretend that everything is fine as long as they can, but they can't do it forever.

As for the media, I agree that once any outlet starts to report honestly on his health, it'll be like a leak in a dam, and it won't be long until the whole dam bursts wide open. I'm living for that moment!

Watching his decline, I'm reminded of a quote from a T.S. Eliot poem, The Hollow Men:

This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.

This may just be the way Trump's grip on this country ends: not with a bang but a whimper!

She is just a bit more high profile but look at the number of relatively young (by average Congressional rep standards) Repugs announcing they will not run in the next election.

It was a small thing, the smallest of things, but it was too bitter for MAGAt to swallow. It is the one promise they were counting on, THE EPSTEIN FILES. “HE SAID HE WOULD RELEASE THEM!!!

The MAGAt base began fissuring over that broken promise, not any others. I suspect he had no idea how implicated he was in them until “Pedophile-protector Pam” (thank you Gavin) actually took a look at the files. I imagine her dark eyebrows rose up into her hair roots. “OMG, the holy one is on every page!”

It was withholding the files that caused Thomas Massie and MTG to go into rout step causing the rest of the repuke coalition to break cadence. Sorry for the marching analogy, but up until recently the Rs have been marching in perfect step to the cadence called out by the DI (Donald idiot).

because we'll all owe her our everlasting gratitude ;if she clears a path toi our winning Congress and not hyst replacing a lot of bad MAGAts with worse ones.

It will be interesting to see what her next chapter is, if she'll go back to Rome and live quietly, if she'll make an arse of herself running for president in 2028, or if she'll become the Martha Mitchell of her generation.

For now, don't let the door smack ya and I hope your legacy is in your leaving.
