TN-07: Davidson, Montgomery, Williamson Counties Lead Early Voting in 7th District

With the race between Democratic nominee Aftyn Behn and Republican nominee Matt Van Epps tightening, 84,356 people took part in early voting in the special election for Tennessee’s 7th Congressional District.

According to data provided by the Tennessee Secretary of State's Office, Davidson, Montgomery and Williamson counties saw the highest voter turnout with 20,951, 19,110 and 14,777 ballots cast, respectively.

The 7th District includes 11 entire counties — Stewart, Montgomery, Robertson, Houston, Dickson, Cheatham, Humphreys, Hickman, Decatur, Perry and Wayne — in addition to portions of Davidson, Williamson and Benton.

The race has heated up in recent weeks, drawing national attention from both the Republican and Democratic parties. Polls show a tightening race, with fundraising ramping up in an election that both camps acknowledge will come down to voter turnout.
