Mods: I'll move to The Way Forward if that's in order.
Friday saw a record $11.8 Billion in online sales Friday, and today is supposed to be "cyber Monday"
Yuck.
SO, my proposal for Monday is: From Bernie Sanders, and this is a donation request, with a gift in return.
I've recently written a New York Times best-selling book entitled "Fight Oligarchy.
It's a good book. It's an important book. And the most important thing to me is that anyone who wants to read the book has a chance to read the book.
If that is all you need to hear, please make a donation of ANY AMOUNT you can afford and we'll ship it out to you soon. If you can give $27, that's terrific. If you can only afford to give $1, that is fine as well.

Contribute any amount to get Bernie's book: Fight Oligarchy

This new book talks about the economic and political reality of America today - a reality often ignored by the corporate media. It is a reality in which a small number of extremely wealthy individuals control the economic, political, and media life of a nation while ordinary people have very little power. Its a reality in which Big Money and Trumpism work together to create an authoritarian society in which the very rich get much richer while a majority of Americans struggle to put food on the table or pay the rent. Its a reality called Oligarchy.
If you're an American, it is the system in which you are living.
Its a system that we must change.
In the wealthiest nation on earth we must build a political movement that creates a government that represents all Americans, not just a handful of billionaires.
This book talks about where we're at today, and where we go from here.
I hope you've read it. And if you haven't, I hope you will. I'd love to send you a copy and when you are done, maybe you can share it with a friend.
Please use the link above to make a contribution of ANY AMOUNT you can afford today and we'll get you a copy of my latest book "Fight Oligarchy."
Every dollar we raise will go toward covering the cost of buying the books, shipping them to you, and anything left over will be used to help elect progressives across the country in the next election.
In solidarity,
Bernie
Looks like $1 will do, but that's not going to help anyone.
You'll get on his mailing list, but GUESS WHAT?
I love his emails, because he is fighting for us, and did so when everyone else was scared shitless to do so.
AND he fully supported Joe Biden during his presidency, and both Bernie and AOC campaigned their asses off for Kamala and Tim.
and you can unsubscribe the emails.
And that's MY cyber Monday attack on the oligarchs.

(browser = DuckDuckGo and I use a VPN, US-based server)
Your connection isn't private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from secure.actblue.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).
net::ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED
secure.actblue.com uses encryption to protect your information. When DuckDuckGo tried to connect to secure.actblue.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be secure.actblue.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because DuckDuckGo stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.
You can't visit secure.actblue.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

Works.
That kind of error message suggests http instead of https
I am using Firefox on mac.
iCloud Private Relay seems to be for Safari only.
Does ActBlue work otherwise?
I hit their home page and found info on how they've tightened things since August.

(19,024 posts)is blocking secure.ActBlue completely. It is a certificate error. Even with the VPN disconnected (but this add on would still be working), I get the same message.
I'm kind of busy today (really shouldn't be on DU at all, ha ha) but if I get time I will message the ActBlue support team. I tend to trust my widely-known VPN provider when it comes to security stuff. If they say bad certificate, I bet it is a bad certificate. (happens to every company sooner or later)
