(330 posts)Always talking about how hard they worked to get what they have, always assuming "the other" got it without working hard for it. Always playing the victim. Pathetic.

(4,564 posts)or "them" that this refers to?
Why do they show only poor white folks and not the wealthy white bigots?
It seems to me that some history needs to be gone over here.
Not all poor white people are bigots.

(8,565 posts)Creating an "us versus them" narrative is how they keep everyone else from realizing who is really screwing them.
This is not just true of wealthy white people, but wealthy people in general. They have lead us to believe that the success of someone who is trying to build a better life for themselves and their families causes failure for others.
It's a race war, it's a culture war...a manufactured conflict that allows the rich to keep getting bigger and bigger pieces of the economic pie.
There is absolutely no way that 3 people, Musk, Bezos, and Zuckerberg should have nearly 1 trillion in wealth between them. And yet they do.
And 1,135 US billionaires have about 5.7 trillion in combined wealth,.

Thank you
The 0.1% "powers that be" (wealthy white men, typically) have traditionally sown division between everyone with minimal resources, pitting poor black, brown, and white people against each other using race as the dividing line. It is pure evil, but an unfortunately brilliant strategy, because if those three groups ever got together en masse, they could run the 0.1% into the ground.
