I thought Sen. Tommy Tuberville was the dumbest Senator, but Sen. Mullin (R-Crazy Town) is giving him some competition.

Sen. Mullin was on CNN being interviewed by Dana Bash and the questions ranged from Venezuela to Sen Mark Kelly's comments. (The clip is not yet up on YouTube).

Mullin is all on in with Trump on war with Venezuela, referring to them as terrorists. He doesn't explain why, as a sitting member of the Senate, he hasn't introduced a bill declaring war on Venezuela thus giving the President the green light, free of legal entanglements.

He said there is no proof Hegseth murdered anyone, noting the fact the Coast Guard previously returned injured survivors to Venezeuela. He did not explain why "terrorists" would be released to repeat their crimes instead of being locked up in one of our Supermax prisons. A fair trial, of course, would require evidence.

Mullin went on to criticize Mark Kelly for his "seditious" remarks on illegal orders, ignoring Jan 6 and Trump's pardon of insurrectionists and seditionists. While Kelly was flying 39 combat missions, Mullin was too busy inheriting his father's business (sound familiar?) to serve in the military.

Mullin always is on the edge of physical violence. If you've seen a cartoon character's head swell, turn red with rage, and steam coming out of it ears, you've seen Mullin. In one Senate hearing, Mullin challenged a witness to a fight, standing up, removing his tie, preparing. My advice to Mullin: hot heads should lay off the anabolic steroids

as stupidest member of the Senate since he first took his seat. But he is up against really tough competition for most stupid of the stupid -- Ron Johnson, Tuberville, Blackburn, Britt, et al -- so it has taken a bit for him to catch on.

He is gaining momentum, though!
