I have my suspicions, but still can't quite fathom why the Republican Party seems willing to stand withTrump

If they were really Macavillian, they would impeach his ass next week out of self preservation, but they won't.

What is it?

If they fear the MAGA base, they should be terrified of the 65 % of the rest of the electorate in a general election.

Are many Republicans in the Epstein Files?

Are some Republicans on Putin's payroll?

Do they confidently know the fix is and the 2026 Mid-terms will be stolen?

Are they on board with Trump declaring Marital law and not have the election?

We're only 9 months into this grifting, law breaking, chaotic assole's 2nd term and they still support him. Truly mind blowing.

I don’t think they even care if they’re reelected. They make more money that’s all they’re caring about at this point. And being around the unlawful macho power gets them turned on. And they have lost the ability to distinguish between right and wrong by being hypnotized by the sick fucker. They overestimate the power of the cult to protect them.

They've been told that democrats are evil socialists communists satanists globalists redistributionists gun-confiscating anti-American keep inserting bad words here dripping either scorn and condescension and you get the idea.

To the point where many people feel they have a patriotic and moral obligation to stick with Donnie and the Republican Party even if they have reservations because they've been convinced that the alternative is voting for the devil himself.

Then there's the abortion is murder crowd, who decided that the ends justify the means, and since abortion is genocide, Donnie raping or grifting or whatever is nothing compared to genocide, they'll happily support him no matter what.

There's more of this nonsense, but the bottom line is that decades of hate radio and foxnews and organized lying can do a number on people.

They really have no Plan B so Trump is the only wagon wobbling along to hitch onto. Given the number of relatively young Repug Congressional reps resigning or already announcing they are not running for reelection, they see the jig is about up and are leaving their musical chairs game before the music stops. Probably smart to put some time and distance between themselves and the unfolding debacle that the whole GOP will get painted with.

6. 2 things:
Sun Nov 30, 2025, 10:55 AM

1: They're afraid. The MAGA base will issue death threats and might actually use their 2A joysticks against R's who betray Trump, whereas the 60% is unlikely to resort to violence.

2: They're on board with the Project 2025 agenda. Republicans have been wanting to destroy regulatory and social service agencies for decades. More progress on that front has been made in 10 months than in the previous 40 years.

To keep taxes on the rich low. As long as Trump does that it's smooth sailing.

Now if Trump were to listen to Bannon and go against the only pillar of the GOP they'd be plotting his downfall now.
