Trump's approval rating hits second-term low as Republican support dips
President Donald Trump continues to see his approval rating drop with a new Gallup poll registering the lowest of his second term.
In a Gallup poll conducted from Nov. 3-25, 36% approved of Trump's job performance, down from 41% in October. That approaches Trump's lowest-ever approval rating of 34% in 2021, near the end of his first term after the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot, according to Gallup. Trump's previous low approval rating during his second term, Gallup says, was 37% in July.
Trump's approval rating fell among Republicans and Independents, as well as Democrats. Republicans rating is the lowest of Trumps second term (84%) down from 91%. With Independents, Trump's approval rating fell to 25%, down from 33% in October. Democrats gave Trump an approval rating of 3%, down from 6% the previous month.
Trump approval ratings down, disapproval ratings up in Gallup poll
After months of relatively stable approval ratings, Trump has seen his ratings drop over the last month or so. It reached a new low of 42.3% on Nov. 14 in the RealClearPolitics Poll Average, as the 43-day government shutdown ended and the controversy on Jeffrey Epstein's emails heated up. Trump's approval rating is currently 42.7% on RealClearPolitics Poll Average.
