Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin announces next New Glenn rocket following successful launch
Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin has announced what's next after a successful launch of the New Glenn-2 (NG-2) rocket earlier this month.
The recent NG-2 mission focused on deploying NASAs Escape and Plasma Acceleration and Dynamics Explorers twin spacecraft into orbit and landing a fully reusable first-stage booster.
Now, Blue Origin has announced the next rocket, New Glenn 9x4 a new super-heavy-class rocket. The Kent-based company named it for the number of engines on each stage, according to a press release.
New Glenn 9x4 is nearly 400 feet tall. Its new design evolves from the 7x2 variant, using existing designs, subsystems, manufacturing processes and operations. These changes will help improve plans for space travel, including low-Earth orbit, the moon and beyond.

Now he and Musk can compare rockets and see whose is bigger.
