...as per Trump's latest online holiday greeting screed.
Not that it seems plausible at the moment, but my mother was naturalized.
And she's protested Trump.
This might seem like reductio ad absurdum, but I suppose she could get denaturalized under this school of thought.
Obviously, I don't think that's going to happen. She's been a citizen for 70 years, and lived here for 75. She's a white Christian of European descent. There's too few boxes to check.
But even so, just the mere thought of it sends shivers down my spine.

(34,991 posts)My mom is in the same boat but I just decided that I'm not going to let him trigger me or ruin my day.
You want to 'reverse migrate' legal folks? Go ahead and try it motherfucker. Your fat fraudulent ass will be back in Scotland (or Russia if Scotland refuses) way before my mom is sent back to her country.

(962 posts)My nephew is Korean, adopted here in the US. He has been subjected to racism. The Covid blame game ramped up racism against Asians. Now the Racist-in-Chief threatens denaturalization, adding additional stigma against adoptees, against Asians, against naturalized American citizens, and against immigrants. I am taking this personally so I can't write more; I am spitting mad.
