Trump "honors" slain National Guard member: "She's dead. Not with us. I'm not given credit for anything."

Trump, who is spending Thanksgiving at Mar-a-Lago, announced Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom’s death during a live-streamed call with service members.

Praising Beckstrom as “magnificent” and “outstanding,” the president, 79, said he had heard of her passing just moments before his address and stated plainly, “She’s dead. Not with us.”

While thanking the 101st Airborne Division, nicknamed the “Screaming Eagles,” for protecting the U.S. border, Trump soon managed to merge his speech with his personal grievances.

“We have nobody coming in,” Trump said of illegal border crossings. “They’re not coming in. Under [Joe] Biden, they were coming in by their millions. Now we have nobody coming in. We have a strong border. Nobody talks about it anymore. I’m not given credit for anything, just like you guys are not given credit for anything.”

Donald Trump is responsible for the death of National Guard Sarah Beckstrom’s death.

She signed up to contribute to the safety of citizens of West Virginia, not Washington, D.C. Stuff like serving when there were natural disasters like floods, electricity being knocked out, blizzards, etc. Stuff that won't be funded by FEMA b/c of Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill" and Republicans in Congress.

Instead, Trump removed her from West Virginia, situated her in Washington, D.C. where her services were not needed and were superfluous, and put her in harm's way.

And I wouldn't put it past Trump to put a hack who was also a refugee to go out and shoot National Guards in order to "justify" putting more Guard on the streets of D.C. and other cities. At the least, it would be doubling down in protest against the federal court ruling that putting Guard on the streets of D.C. was/is unlawful.
