Trump County? What to know about proposal to create new Florida county
Trump County as Florida's 68th county? A Florida woman hopes so.
Jen Herold, 40, of Palm Coast, started a petition campaign, along with a podcast, YouTube videos and a social-media initiative, for the new county honoring the nation's 45th and 47 president.
As of Nov. 24, the petition has gathered 15 signatures out of its goal of 500 to establish Florida's newest county in a century named after Donald Trump. It would border the Atlantic Ocean and stretch from St. Augustine to south of Daytona Beach.
"President Trump is a once-in-a-generation leader, a master dealmaker, real estate titan, and the greatest president of our time," Herold's petition said.
