Btw many years ago and I was in Europe and my Polish friends I had met would drink Vodka straight
from the bottle but I would do one short drink and that was it but they could hammer it down.

As a veteran and a pacifist I usually shy away from veterans. But, this Kelly fella' sounds more li9ke Smedley Butler or Jimmy Carter rather than a Patton or Rambo.
