I'll tell y'all something frigging weird:

There is one city, my town of origin, which Orangina hasn’t mentioned: Philadelphia. We have a ton of shootings, plenty of street and retail crime, assaults, and the place really is a mess. Not a word. Black female (his favorite) mayor: not a word. A city council historically consisting of, I’ll be polite, sub-par individuals. Not a word. No call for federal troops.

I’m perplexed. Maybe they forgot about us.

Or: maybe they realize what would happen if they showed up. Might be a problem.

Malcolm Nance home town. Surely don't want to tussle with him.

Room to Move history. Police have already bombed their own city, how did that turn out?

He has a legitimacy deficit in Philadelphia. And several good reasons to stay away.
