Why Everyone Suddenly Has Autism

Just watched this video that goes over the actual science of the causes autism. Really interesting. Like the fact that for identical twins, if one twin has autism, there is a huge increase in the chance the other twin has it. This chance drops off greatly for fraternal twins or regular siblings, though it is still higher than you would see I n the general population. That shows that genetics is a huge part of the cause.

... there's better diagnostic procedures to recognize Autism instead of just shrugging it off as someone always being "weird" or "difficult", and is usually pretty much a social failure, unless they have some sort of talent or can mask well enough to just be "quirky"...

Rather than a single spectrum, there are various ways an individual might be affected, and each of those to different degrees, so each person's autism can be very different from another. This was new to me, but it makes a lot of sense.
