Talking about throwing a career in the toilet?

Fox Sports commentator Mark Sanchez is now facing major felony charges after an alleged assault on a 69 year old male delivery driver.

The story is still developing along with continuing investigations.

It is not going to end well for Sanchez, because of the injuries sustained by the 69 year old male victim. Sanchez also suffered stab wounds.

Sanchez was arrested and is expected in court sometime this week.

Story from NBC News.

I am now a morning stocker at Menards. Retirement doesn't always go the way you think it will.

I am 69 (and retired) and have enough money to live comfortably the rest of my life. But being a barista at Starbucks is on my bucket list. Working in the customer facing side of the food service industry is something that nearly everyone does at some point in their life. I've done a lot of things in my life for pay - but that's not one of them - and, of the food service jobs I can think of, mixing coffee beverages seems more interesting than most.

For now, there are lots of things higher up in the bucket . . . but I may get there yet.

Like you, we have a very comfortable retirement income, but I substitute teach because there's a need & I enjoy helping out.
Certainly has more value than another round of golf. (Which I do a lot anyway.)
I donate the money (after taking gas money) to a local food pantry.
It wasn't a bucket list thing, but as I approached retirement 7 years ago, it sure seemed like a good idea. I'm still doing it.
You doing the barrista thing is highly public facing, so I'd think you get a lot of people time.

I'm in classes 3 days a week (pursuing a BFA in photography), rehearsals start for the Christmas musical (White Christmas) in a couple of weeks, and I've got a dive trip planned for January. So, for now, I get enough people time.

Next up on the charity front - baking 30-ish pies for the Thanksgiving meal at a local shelter.

I spent 2/3 of my career teaching. I've had enough for now - but I still have a grandfathered secondary certificate for math, physics, and computer science if the urge should strike.

Fox would love for him to have a show. But with real manly men like Waters, Hannity and the morning couch tumors, He may be too weak for that line up.
Plus 🤫 he is Latino😮!

All this over a parking space--per the article.

......... “And once we receive that additional information, additional charges might be appropriate to file in a case like this.”

Among the initial misdemeanor charges filed against Sanchez was public intoxication. Bailey declined to answer a reporter’s question about the former quarterback’s blood alcohol level, but said the investigation is ongoing.
