Yes, Medicaid covers undocumented immigrants when they show up at the ER. Cry harder. And here’s the part you conveniently ignore: there are way more uninsured American citizens and legal residents in that same ER than the “illegals” you’ve been trained to foam at the mouth about.

Hospitals are legally required to treat every warm body that drags itself through the sliding doors, whether they have papers, insurance, or a pulse hanging by a damn thread.

The reason for it is because once that baby is born it will be an American citizen through birthright. It deserves the best shot at a good beginning and to receive the benefits it is entitled to as a citizen.

Personally, I think all women deserve it during pregnancy no matter income or citizen status. I also think all babies should be enrolled automatically at birth but that's just me.
