Airspace in Chicago was restricted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) earlier this week at the request of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) amid immigration raids throughout the Windy City.

Federal agents threw a tear gas canister at people on a busy street in the Logan Square neighborhood on Friday outside a grocery store and near an elementary school.
Cell phone video shows what appears to be uniformed federal immigration agents throwing a tear gas canister from their SUV just before noon near the Rico Fresh supermarket in Logan Square. A person on a scooter was stopped in front of the SUV at the time.
Surveillance video showing an overhead view of what happened shows the street filling with tear gas clouds and people starting to disperse ...

A Chicago alderperson said she ended up in handcuffs for a short time on Friday when she arrived at a hospital, hoping to speak with a man who had been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Ald. Jessie Fuentes, of the city's 26th Ward, said she received a call about a man who was detained and brought to a hospital by ICE for an injury to his leg. Fuentes said agents were trying to detain the man when he took off.
The alderwoman came to the hospital, hoping to speak to him, but also ended up in handcuffs. Fuentes said she was eventually released. Fuentes was joined by hospital officials and local leaders as they addressed ramped-up enforcement action, saying they will not back down and protect their community.
"Our rapid responders who are responding to ice sightings all over the Northwest Side showed up today," the alderwoman said, in part. "What ICE and federal agents are doing in the city of Chicago is violence, and we must respond" ...

Ald. Jessie Fuentes was handcuffed after questioning ICE agents at Humboldt Park Health.
Fuentes says the agents refused to show a warrant allowing them to detain a man who broke his leg while they were chasing him.
She adds agents are also not allowing lawyers to speak with him ...
