Should Dem leaders go on the Maher or Rogan shows?

In my opinion, I don't see why anyone who wants to lead the Democratic Party shouldn't go everywhere. I don't any see any good reason why anyone who considers themselves a solid Democrat should oppose it. (I see some bad reasons.) My question is a little moot, because many Democratic leaders have gone on these shows and others.

Solid Democrats have nothing to hide and every reason to take on all comers in interviews and debates. I hope and expect that before the election next year, we'll get to see our new and newly energized leaders showing up everywhere. The election next year is a must-win imo.

Their shows are hardly the same as Hannity or Waters or Ingraham.

And you can't always just talk to the people who agree with you.

In my experience your best friends aren't the ones that always tell you what you want to hear. They tell you what they think you need to hear. They can be right or wrong, but the fact that they're willing to take the risk of annoying you to try to help you make your life better is a sign of a good friend.

These guys are manipulative and dishonest. But their shows reach people who otherwise won't see our candidates except in selected/curated clips/quotes. So the candidate needs to know what they are doing, and how to manage the host. They all have their patterns of behavior, which can be prepared for to some degree.

Not doing so is asking for trouble.

with short memories. Democrats don’t talk about his lies enough. Grocery prices should be shoved up his ass. Daily.

because they reach many people.

One reason I learn towards Newsom and Buttigieg is they do these shows and understand social media's influence these days.

Unless or until we can figure out something else or people suddenly care about policy discussion and not just memes we have to deal with it.
