WASHINGTON (AP) The FBI has fired agents who were photographed kneeling during a racial justice protest in Washington that followed the 2020 death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers, three people familiar with the matter said Friday.
The bureau last spring had reassigned the agents but has since fired them, said the people, who insisted on anonymity to discuss personnel matters with The Associated Press.
The number of FBI employees terminated was not immediately clear, but two people said it was roughly 20.

The FBI Agents Association confirmed in a statement late Friday that more than a dozen agents had been fired, including military veterans with additional statutory protections, and condemned the move as unlawful. It called on Congress to investigate and said the firings were another indication of FBI Director Kash Patels disregard for the legal rights of bureau employees.

(11,863 posts)... to defend against the rightful lawsuits that these people should (and I would say must) bring.
They are spending our dollars to defend all their criminals acts.
With all the unconstitutional cancellations of appropriated funds, I have a notion of anyone who owes money on their 2025 taxes, filing their 1040, and stamping CANCELLED next to the amount due.
Even withholding payment just a few months would be a statement, if we could somehow make this a "thing" between now and April 2026.
If you owe, as long as you file on time, the only penalty is 0.05% for each month payment isn't made. I think a lot of people might consider the penalty for withholding payment a few months well worth it as part of a larger action.
