Trump might have just opened a can of worms

Comey still has friends at the FBI. Some of them know what is in those Epstein files. Comey also has former FBI friends that know what's in those Epstein files. I will bet something will leak within the next 7 days. It will not be good for Trump.

She does not allow her children to be alone with her dad. Either Jaren or Ivanka have to be in the room. I heard her say it a few years ago in an interview.

At the time I figured because of what he did to her. Could be she knows it was a lot more than her.

I'm sure there's all sorts of other discovery to be had regarding the handling of the case.

He already gave testimony to Congress recently behind closed doors. So we don't know exactly what he said, but reportedly he said he didn't remember to most of the questions. Of course he lied.

But Comey has no power to subpoena anyone at this point. Whether you're talking father or daughter, they're private citizens.

Also, since Comey is not indicted for anything related to Epstein, I'm not sure that the court would see a valid reason to subpoena Acosta.

and totally screw them because the lawyer Lindsey whatsername has no clue what she's doing. This will force them into persuading another DOJ lawyer to go to trial because she doesn't know how to do that.

Furthermore, the indictment is two flimsy pages and they're the same count, even though they tried to make it look like there were two separate counts.

If he did this, Comey could issue subpoenas, as poster upthread remarks.

I think it gets thrown out pretty quickly. They have zero chance of a conviction.

Reason is that the Eastern Dist of VA handles CIA, counterterrorism and national security cases, (because intel is in VA) etc., very heavy stuff.
So this isn't going to be like the DC Dist.

He found no credible evidence and would not press charges.

He was fired and another prosecutor was brought in (who filed today's charges).

That makes sense.

I don't think it ever sees a courtroom though. It should get thrown out before then because there is no probable cause. There is zero chance of a conviction.

I think a massive leak in the next 7 days isn't unrealistic. There are just too many people in the know to keep the files from going public. Comey could be the perfect trip wire.
