This pair has been on a roll lately. They broke stories about Tom Homan and the 50,000 dollar bribe, and the James Comey indictment. On both of these stories, they were first. Soon after their scoops were confirmed by the NYT.
These two know what it means to investigate this administration. Ms. Leonnig is now the senior investigative reporter for MSNBC, after leaving the Washington Post last month.
The part I like the best is that they break the stories, and the rest of the corporate media is left with no alternative but to follow in their footsteps. They're showing how it's done.

(8,963 posts)and knew not to trust the FBI, but it did get batter and I eventually got to truating it. But not now. Notany longer. And I'm afraid I'm unlikely to live until it can be trusted again, since I'm 80.

(33,342 posts)I read about what they did to Irving Norman,
who is one of my favorite artists.
His exhibit in Sacramento was one of the
most mesmerizing, amazing experiences I've
ever had... and I've been to some very
great exhibits, including the incredible one
Dominique de Menil and her staff put on in a
barnlike structure in the parking lot of Rice University,,
called Secret Affinities... showcasing surreal art and sculpture
in a way I've never seen before or since... pure
genius.

(3,379 posts)I wasn't aware of Leonnig's move to MSNBC. She gives a lot of journalistic clout which is needed not only on that network but on others. I think you're right that now she will have stories the rest of the lazy mediashpere will have no choice but to echo in their televised steno pools.
