A building that was only once before destroyed by British troops and rebuilt after the war of 1812. 33. King's staff jokes Trump brought own sheets to avoid tan cream stains on royal linen
Thu Sep 25, 2025, 06:38 PM
Thursday

trump is being laughed at by the King's staff

https://www.rawstory.com/king-charles-trump/

President Donald Trump flew his own bed linen from the U.S. for his stay in a royal English castle — and courtiers in the ultra-luxurious accommodation think they know why.

Courtiers at Windsor Castle — a home to Great Britain's King Charles — are reportedly joking that Trump wants to avoid leaving stains on the royal bedding from tanning chemicals.

The courtier's theory was shared with the Daily Mail in a report Tuesday as Trump started his first full day of the United Kingdom visit.....

"The president's aides, inspecting his suite in Windsor Castle before his arrival, provided housekeepers with bedding. A courtier muses that it may just be the President not wanting to stain the royal pillows with whatever tanning chemicals he uses to keep his orange hue.

"Below-stairs wags, noting that Melania has a separate suite, joke that if she'd asked for a water bed she could effortlessly drift apart from Donald."

Thu Sep 25, 2025, 07:24 PM
Thursday

Surely, someone has had the thought to retain a sheet or two for potential future use. They've "got nuttin" on Monica's blue dress!

This story is absolutely disgusting, but with what we know of the beast, entirely plausible. I wonder...did he manage a shower over the three days? No wonder people say he reeks.

He'd never apologize or even acknowledge his part in this. He probably sees nothing wrong. It's his world and the rest just clean up his physical, emotional and political messes as a matter of course. PIG!

I'm curious. On visits such as this, is the Secret Service tasked with collecting his messy residue so that other governments don't have access to presidential DNA? I'd imagine there are a number of nefarious uses to which something like could be useful, not only his but Melania's also.

Because it's always the truth: Number of days since the U.S. was last embarrassed by trump: 0

ETA: LOL catbyte, I was still typing and you beat me to it regarding days w/o embarrassment. I actually have this printed out and taped below my apartment doorbell!

But, you'd think that photos of this would have leaked. This is a photo-less account from a web version of the Enquirer, essentially.

I did some Googling and could find only one other similar story - an MSN article about Trump's party leaving a bag of Doritos behind in his room at Windsor Castle: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/travel/news/donald-trump-leaves-behind-snack-at-windsor-castle-while-healthier-option-left-untouched/ar-AA1N874M

There was one Reddit thread that reported Melania left a hat behind.

No other news outlets had stories about this that I could find.

I want to believe the worst about this disgusting failure of a president. But, I think we should be ignoring these one-off stories from on-line gossip mags unless it makes it on to more reputable news sites. For all we know, this is a planted story to punk us libs.

Which is very rare if not completely unheard of in England (the preferred is motor lodge).

If one is to believe the Daily Diana (oops Daily Express) Trump and Co had their own bed linens used, not palace linen. Though it is possible and plausible he still left palace staff to change the bed and return the linen.

But I suppose leaving a room like this very much fits the image of President Biff.

Too bad the show is over. But showing staff report the incident to the King regarding Cankles McTacotits room and the clean up would be TV gold.

I just want to make sure DU doesn't fall for made up stories, and until it can be corroborated, then its best left out, even more when the original source has very low credibility.
