It is what Trump truly wants just to get his propaganda policies. He also loves the blame game and he doesnt care who he blames. He could blame his grandchild and just to say that it was someone elses fault!
This will be on him and his pathetic goons! Period!
He has done this before and thinks he can swoop in to be the savior of our economy. But this time its different! Reasons why, his tariffs, the Big Blunder Bill, inflation and unemployment rate all have changed since he took office.
The Democrats should never give him any credit or give an inch. This is all on Trump and those fools who have never stood up to him.
I know it will hurt most people, but we cant allow or accept his lies and propaganda policies. He will never change and we must not allow him to do what he wants!

(6,331 posts)Will Trump use a shutdown to gut the government and consolidate more power in his dictatorship?
Just asking; not sure what the Democrats should do.

(2,534 posts)These people think in one direction without considering the unknown. It isn't up to us to furnish them with additional scenarios. They have a goal in mind, it is a reduction in force. Let's not help them overcome the obstacles to getting their way. They will act like a car chasing dog only to find out catching it reveals they never thought about that part.

(29,873 posts)also favored voting No back in March?
Shutting down the government back in March until we got protections for the social safety net made a hell of a lot of sense and even some Magats would have been behind us.
Now the horses are out of the barn, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, are being gutted by law.
It's a lot harder to get the horses back in the barn rather than not to open the door and let them out in the first place.
Now our bargaining chip is reimbursements to Obamacare which is set to expire, the rest has been made into law. Correct me if I'm wrong but undoing a law is much tougher than not passing it in the first place.
Good luck Chuck, hey, don't get me wrong, I'm on board, go for it, would have been easier to do back in March. I was even told that by voting for the CR back in March our SS would be protected, won't mention any names. Was told Democrats would be blamed for the shutdown back in March, won't mention any names.

(29,873 posts)about it? Just die?
I can get by without my Social Security and Medicare but a hell of a lot of people can't.
Should have taken a stand back in March before the gutting of our social safety net became law.
