perhaps if we are looking at this situation from afar, but IMO you can draw a straight line to Comey and the reason Hilary lost, and on down the toilet from there.

But was tossed into a situation he wasn't ready to handle. He thought it was his duty to inform the public, when in reality, he should have just shut the fuck up until all the facts were in. Yes, he would have got massive heat for not saying something, but its often easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. This was a set up and he fell for it.
