Our ABC station here in the Portland, OR area is owned by Sinclair. Even a blue state isn't safe from the right-wingers.

because the Rockford IL station would not carry it. The Quad Cities' station reception can be iffy. However, they will be my ABC station from now on.

They own local over-the-air network affiliates. They keep the stations afloat by selling advertisements, not subscriptions. The only thing viewers can do to get them to "understand" is to boycott their advertisers to the point where they pull their ads.
