Full book is available at archive.org/details/down... and it doesn't mention marbles or kites or drones anywhere. Bleak that people took this seriously when it was very visibly a screenshot of an AI overview.

But why the hell did they not simply have her attribute her comments (e.g., in the words of the author, C.J. Cherryh) before quoting this passage word for word?

They are apparently too fucking stupid or arrogant to avoid even this controversy.

For a published book, the spelling errors and mixed tenses are atrocious. The whole thing made me wince.

If you're going to plagiarize, at least have the decency to represent what the author (C. J. Cherryh) actually wrote on the page.

Does the First Lady really think she can get away with this sort of theft? Or is this another example of I really don't care, do U?
