Damn image hosts can break most sites with their flakiness. I understand why DU doesn't want to host images, but the only solid solution other than DU hosting is my own hosting, and if I stop paying, even that goes away.

PITA.

I'll get the image off the computer and use postimages. These hosts, especially postimages will not upload some images. Why? Pre-censorship?

"Violates TOS?"

I upload a lot of images, and this nonsense pisses me off mainly.

Will fix, until .....

postimages throttles badly but posters using it are duped into believing it does not throttle because they have the image in their cache.

A lot of image links that I find are not parseable by DU code, or are webp, so I end up downloading them and uploading (after conversion) to a host.

This is not fun.

The computer doesn't fit on my easy chair.

Not interested in a new laptop but might have to get one. To get an image URL on iOS, hold down your finger on an image on the web, share to email, copy the URL, and delete the draft.

I hate software (written by other people)

I am the lead cheerleader for open source, here and on Hacker News.
