3. With the internet today there must be independent companies that provide tv streaming.

I left the big companies in Canada for an independent and I get all the regular tv channels on their basic tv for half the price and I get to pick 10 stations outside the basic without having to pay for a package. I also can go online anytime and change those 10 stations and within hours they are done. I was able to get the news stations without taking FOX or CNN. If we are doing it in Canada there must be some in the US it just takes some research. I get their tv and internet for less than half what I was paying before.

Companies setup overseas and sell subscriptions paid for with bitcoin. For about $20 per month users can get any station they want on demand and if they are worried about users possibly being prosecuted or sued, use a vpn.

4. It's an excellent opportunity to engage in local resistance!

Watch the show they broadcast in Kimmel's place & note who the local adverts are. Then write & call them! Get all your friends to do the same. Assign someone to watch every night & take down advert names & follow through with calls. I'll bet if local companies got 30 calls a day from local customers, they'd take note & move their advertising. When you call, make sure you phrase it in terms of a first amendment issue.
