Temporary or permanent inconvenience to one's viewing habits might be the patriotic path. Our kids are already going to blame us for climate collapse. We can make a difference here.

Also, I don't see how the show survives if it can't play in all these markets.

You might have to wait an hour after broadcast to watch, but it will be broadcast on YouTube. Sinclair couldn’t cancel it on all ABC stations, only the markets where they own the ABC affiliate outright, as in, they own the local buildings of local ABC affiliate stations. YouTube can restrict content regionally, but Sinclair cannot order them to do so, and they have no financial impetus to do so with Kimmel.

I can choose any ABC (or any other network) channel I want, nationwide. Though I live in NC I usually tune in to the NYC stations (which are all network owned) because that is where I lived my whole life until 9 years ago, unless there is a hurricane or some local news I really want to find out about.

that's one of the most Patriotic cities in NC.

And, Portland, Ore! Wonder how the Patriots there will find a way to watch it?

It doesn't even list Hawaii...... does that mean we don't get Sinclair? I Hope!
