(127,439 posts)2. Probably not. If Trump were a private citizen there might be a claim for business disparagement,
but unless Trump's comments were found to be clearly outside the scope of his presidential duties (see the E. Jean Carroll case), and not protected by other governmental immunity, it would be a tough case to pursue.
