It was bad enough when he dug up the Rose Garden, and replaced it with concrete, so the nicely-dressed Republican women did not get their spiked high-heels stuck in the grass.
But then he chopped down the large historical trees that had shaded the White House since the days of Chester Arthur.
Now, he wants to tear down the East Room, used by the First Ladies, and replace it with a fancy, gold-plated ballroom with his name prominently displayed.
Where is our Congress??

(1,945 posts)The most we can do for now is to record every name, detail, transaction of the murder of this country. Store it somewhere beyond their reach.
And when the day comes, show as much mercy in the cleansing and restoration as they showed in the destruction.
They do, after all, claim to follow the Golden Rule.

(5,750 posts)big, garish "TRUMP" sign on the WH roof. We're almost there. Cannot believe that he's been able to destroy such an historic property.
Have watched "This Old House" episodes in which homeowners were stymied because their homes were on the Historic Registryt. But tsf can architecturally devastate the WH without any blowback?

(27,143 posts)Its not just where the president lives, its a symbol for the people and the world. Right now, its getting pretty tarnished.
Sad to say, when the current occupant is gone, there should be a Constitutional amendment that says this historic building and grounds cannot be trashed with again.
