it's hard to fit "save democracy" onto your calendar.

Today I feel hopeless and terrified. The only resort I see us having, and nobody comments when I say it, get out in the streets people! That is going to be my answer to everything from now on.

Every day is a new horror, a new apocalypse, and not one thing is stopping it. Of course there are few judicial actions here and there, but overall, our country is being eviscerated before our eyes. My stress level is off the charts.

I'm a baby boomer who has lived through many challenges to our democracy, but we always fought back and most often, reason and democracy prevailed. I have never seen anything like this. A thirty-four-time convicted felon, a sexual abuser, a liar, adulterer, an individual who has built his manifesto around hatred, intolerance, vengeance and retribution has won over a massive part of the people of this country. Even "Christians" are endorsing and worshiping this evil being. How the hell does that work? I was the Director of Christian Education at our church, and he is the embodiment of everything we identified as evil and a threat to decency.

Words fail me. This is an unabated horror show. It's Hitler2.0, and I don't see it stopping in the near future.

And that's why I spend time finding animal videos to post. I have outrage fatigue and I don't want to increase my blood pressure meds.

I feel your pain. I feel it, too.

For the photos and videos as they help keep me grounded with my optimism.

You have done a world of good with your videos. I know I speak for many others when I say they have helped me keep it together. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a ledge and your videos are practically the only thing that can talk me off safely.

I enjoy them so much. Please don't ever stop!
