Dear DU community: We need a little help here.

Now that Congress has declared October 14 to be "Charlie Kirk Remembrance Day" -- or something like that -- WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?

Dress in black all day?
Should my wife and daughter wear black hats with black veils?
Do we drape our car and our front door in black crepe and hang a black wreath on the front door?
Do businesses close? And schools?
Should my church have a remembrance service?
Do we do this annually on October 14? Or is this a one-time event?
Will there be speeches and parades? Hot dogs and beer?
Where can I get life-sized photos of Kirk to drape in black on my front lawn?

I mean -- October 14 is only 25 days away, we need some time to plan and prepare.

Maybe get a George Floyd t-shirt printed from a t-shirt printing website and wear it to a local Kirk vigil, or just the grocery store.

Unsure, however, if I should remove the flag and just decorate the pole with streamers and balloons? Or if I should display both.

Any suggestions?

But, your idea of hot dogs and beer is starting to resonate. Good idea. Is it too "woke" to add some chili and onion?

As for the hot dogs, . we are already excoriated for being conscious and aware, so enjoy. Maybe even add some cheese!
