2. On his self-titled radio talk show, Kirk expressed his dislike of the word "empathy."

"I can't stand the word empathy, actually," he said. "I think empathy is a made-up, new age term that does a lot of damage."

3. Appearing on Jubilee's internet show Surrounded, Kirk insisted Black people were "better" in the 1940s under Jim Crow laws.

While debating a college student, Kirk said, "They were actually better in the 1940s. It was bad. It was evil. But what happened? Something changed. They committed less crimes."

The person he debated responded, "4,000 Black men, women, and children were killed in violent lynch mobs. Racial terror permeated American culture for hundreds of years. You don't think that affected the generational psyche of an entire group of people?"

"Black America is worse than it has been in the last 80 years," he interrupted.

Neurosciences would very much beg to differ. That ignorant clown didn't believe in the existence of empathy because he was a sociopath and had none.

If anything, it makes him look worse.

A narcissist can be sympathetic in a limited selfish sense, imagining how they would feel in a certain situation, and they can even feign sympathy in situations where they themselves would feel nothing.

But empathy is largely beyond them, which is why Kirk was uncomfortable with the word.

"Sympathy is a feeling of sincere concern for someone who is experiencing something difficult or painful. Empathy involves actively sharing in the person’s emotional experience."

Kirk apparently didn't understand it. Or maybe he did and wanted to justify sociopathy.

You lack empathy, you are a sociopath.

Personally, I suspect that Charlie Kirk didn’t really believe in a lot of the ideas that he put out there. He may have started out as a young zealot, but he grew to recognize that he got more attention (and money) the more outrageous he became. Ultimately, he was just a talented grifter who appealed to stupid, ignorant, and venal lowlifes - much like Trump. It wouldn’t surprise me if he ultimately expected to be Trump’s successor. It is outrageous that we’re expected to pay homage to this horrible person.
