Which is revisionist history...What that cartoon "vet" is not mentioning is that is happened between WW1 and WW2.

The problem with that is that is the just before WW2, this very same thing happened, except worse...Google "The Bonus Army" and you will see US troops firing on other former US troops on US soil with MaCarthur and Patton leading the charge.

The people doing the "enforcing" with the Bonus Army were US generals that went on to become heros and Presidents...The same generals that this WW2 carton vet served under.

Eisenhower, Patton, MacArthur just to name a few.

And 911 under Bush jr...Things happen while people are President...We aren't talking about it being any President's fault that anything happens while they are serving their term.

MacArthur, Patton and Eisenhower were all boots on the ground pointing rifles at their own troops during this event.

I am pointing out that troops attacking their own troops is not a new thing.
