6. Who is he? From the video, it looks like this guy set off the melee and assaulted several people in the process.

Why isn't he being restrained and arrested by the cops?

From video description: Cori Bush- Constituents were told to stay after Bell’s town hall if they had questions. They stayed & were brutalized.

From a comment underneath the video: Big boy keeps chanting "the building is closed. It's time to go." A much better thing to do is simply turn the lights out. Thats what bars do at closing time. All this could have and should have been avoided.

Protesters confront Missouri Congressman Wesley Bell about his support of Israel

St. Louis Public Radio | By Will Bauer
Published August 20, 2025 at 8:55 AM CDT

U.S. Rep. Wesley Bell, a Democrat representing St. Louis County, was repeatedly challenged about the war in Gaza at a town hall that drew about 300 people. The event ended with security officers and police getting into a physical altercation with protesters, but no arrests were made.
U.S. Rep. Wesley Bell's first in-person town hall on Tuesday night got off to a rocky start as the first-term Democrat was met with contentious criticism from protesters about his support for Israel.

Bell and his staff struggled to get through a dozen questions over the course of 90 minutes in front of roughly 300 people as protesters routinely interrupted and challenged the congressman's positions.

"There's a lot of folks who don't want to have the conversation," Bell told the crowd amid shouting. "They just want to spew what they think is important, but they don't want to have an actual debate because these are tough issues. So, now we're going to have the conversation — whether you like it or not."

9. APAIC reportedly spent 8 to12 million to upseat progressive Cori Bush
Sat Aug 23, 2025, 10:16 AM
Saturday

Cori was a progressive “squad” member very vocal against the genocide in Gaza..

During his town hall, Wesley Hall spoke about his strong support for Israel and it didn’t go well.

Old HAARETZ headline “Another Victory for AIPAC: Wesley Bell and $8.5 Million Defeat 'Squad' Member Cori Bush”

Old Axios headline - “AIPAC's fight to take out another "Squad" member turns brutal”
The pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC is pouring money into its effort to take out a second member of the progressive "Squad" this cycle, Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.)— and the fight is turning predictably bitter.”

Cori said running against Bell again in 2026 is not off the table.

11. Protesters disrupt Bell's first town hall

Security got rough with some people as they exited the event, but Bell kept his cool.

... A theme throughout the town hall was a tension between the pro-Palestinian protesters and those who were upset that the protests were crowding out conversation about local issues like gun violence and tornado recovery. Bell said at one point: “The number one killer of kids in St. Louis between ages one and 17 is gun violence, and there’s some people who want to talk about that” ...

“What are you doing to fight back against the rise of authoritarianism and fascism coming from the Trump administration?”

Bell started talking about a strategy to push back against Trump through “litigation, legislation, and mobilization.” He said that because Democrats are in the minority, with minimal power, “it’s essential we bring the same energy to the elections next year.” This was said to the thumping beat of more protesters drumming outside the building ...

After about 90 minutes, the event began wrapping up. Bell had managed to keep his cool throughout ... Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the security officers ushering everyone out One attendee did give Bell kudos for even having the event, unlike other members of Missouri’s delegation, who are forgoing such town halls over worries about being met not with outrage about Gaza, but confronted over the actions of the Trump administration ...
