&list=PLC3I8Rb5dhRAGpR3tKxCq5TMX2WInOkszDonald Trump doesnt listen. He doesnt read. He just talks. On Inside Trumps Head, Joanna Coles and Michael Wolff explore why Trump embarks on endless monologues, his Oval Office turned into a bus station, and the wall of sound that keeps people out. Wolff shares surreal White House moments, from generals with PowerPoints Trump ignored to phone calls that lasted for hours. The episode also delves into Trumps unusual routines, Melanias cryptic note to Putin, and why the mainstream media still struggles to cover the 47th President of the United States competently. What emerges is a portrait of a man stuck in 1965 Rat Pack Vegas, yet still dominating the digital age in 2025.

(2,714 posts)Why hasn't TSF gone after Michael Wolff like he has gone after SO MANY others?
Uncle Joe
(62,968 posts)as I drifted off to sleep last night.
I think it's because Wolff; observed, has spoken with, and had so much access to so many if not most of his inner circle as a self-described "chronicler" especially Epstein, that it's the same reason he doesn't go after Putin or criticize Maxwell. He thinks Wolff may have even more undisclosed damaging dirt on him.
I think this can be especially true if TSF is suffering from some form of schizophrenia as we speculated on in the posts below.

(2,714 posts)That.
Probably why the obvious answer that you posted eluded me.

Types of Excessive Talking
(snip)
Disorganized speech: This occurs when thoughts do not connect, causing speech to shift from one thought to another without coherence. Common with schizophrenia and other forms of psychosis, disorganized speech may involve neologisms (made-up words) and echolalia (repeating what someone just said to you).1112

Key Takeaways
Excessive talking occurs when a person talks compulsively, inappropriately, or more than what is outside social norms.
What is excessive might be regarded as subjective or simply a personality traitbut it might also be caused by mental illness or a neurodevelopmental or personality disorder. These include autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, social anxiety disorder, and schizophrenia.
There are things you can do to avoid overtalking, like setting a mental timer, paying attention to social cues, or seeking the help of a mental health provider.

Schizophrenia involves a range of problems in how people think, feel and behave. Symptoms may include:
* Delusions. This is when people believe in things that aren't real or true. For example, people with schizophrenia could think that they're being harmed or harassed when they aren't. They could think that they're the target for certain gestures or comments when they aren't. They may think they're very famous or have great ability when that's not the case. Or they could feel that a major disaster is about to occur when that's not true. Most people with schizophrenia have delusions.
(snip)
* Disorganized speech and thinking. Disorganized speech causes disorganized thinking. It can be hard for people with schizophrenia to talk with other people. The answers people with schizophrenia give to questions may not be related to what's being asked. Or questions may not be answered fully. Rarely, speech may include putting together unrelated words in a way that can't be understood. Sometimes this is called word salad.
* Extremely disorganized or unusual motor behavior. This may show in several ways, from childlike silliness to being agitated for no reason. Behavior isn't focused on a goal, so it's hard to do tasks. People with schizophrenia may not want to follow instructions. They may move in ways that are not typical or not appropriate to the social setting. Or they may not move much or respond at all.

(41,514 posts)he thinks until he's thinking out loud. But it's not just dyslexics. Many people have to talk out loud to hear themselves think, and so as a 'president,' his PR front/persona is that he "weaves."
But from my high school and college level learning and teaching experience, it's clear to me that he's just not able to silently think.
Probably because Wolff's a writer, he either doesn't know these things or can't pinpoint anything but trump's constant "monologue," but my opinion's based on professional training in developmental psychology, learning disabilities, and learning psychologist Howard Gardner's books on six kinds of human intelligence.
trump can't summarize, analyze or do presidential stuff except when scripted (e.g., behind the resolute desk facing world leaders) or when he slowly reads from some telePromptr, and he certainly doesn't hear or answer clear and simple questions in any press conference. He's a prop and performer for operatives for the oligarch network.
Kamala was right when she said to his face that he's a manipulatable fool for Putin, who could eat him for lunch.
Lawrence is right about trump being the stupidest president in American history.
Deep down he knows this, and is desperate to stay rich enough and make normal people fear his unpredictability enough so that it doesn't matter.
Sorry to go on about this, couldn't help myself...

(41,514 posts)to behaviors on a physical spectrum, right?
E.G., is it possible that his "chronic venous insufficiency (CVI)" -- swelling around the ankles and feet, leg pain, aching, heaviness, cramping, skin discoloration or hardening, varicose veins, and in severe cases, leg ulcers -- can affect the sufficient blood flow to his brain? Thus his speaking?
He's a pitiable old guy, in a human sense; in a political sense, he's an old guy who's been destroying the lives of humans of his own country for too long.
He's also a lesson to those who can only learn the hard way (by suffering), and usually when it's too late.

What do we know about George III's symptoms?
(snip)
The King experienced both physical and mental symptoms, including fever, frequent vomiting, and swelling of the legs and feet. The King also complained of aches and pains in his stomach, head and joints, which were so painful that he was unable to walk without a stick.
(snip)
His daughter Princess Elizabeth described a rash which was very red and in great weals, as if it had been scourged by cords. His doctors mentioned a yellowing of the eyes, dark urine and a series of violent spasms.
The most alarming effect of the Kings illness was his periods of mania. At their mildest George experienced a a desire of talking that he was unable to control. Often, he would talk for hours until he was hoarse and foaming at the mouth.
Despite his kind nature, his illness caused the King to exhibit inappropriate and wild behaviour. He was sometimes violent towards his staff and doctors, and on one occasion he was violent towards Queen Charlotte.
The moment in which the doctors decided that George III needed prolonged treatments, was a dreadful meal with the Prince of Wales, during which the King berated him in front of Queen Charlotte and the Princesses. The evening ended with George III picking his son up and throwing him on the floor.

I was thinking about how *rump and his crew of bullies treated President Zelensky with total disrespect in the Oval Office.

(41,514 posts)He can never see straight, wouldn't know a good, powerful leader in the West if all of them met with him in the Oval Office. The contrast is stark and dark. I give him another year to survive.
Not looking forward to JD, either. He'll only be a different version of stupid and he'll still not know how to deal with the oligarch network that put him there. We'll be stuck with this syndicate indefinitely if we can't win in the midterms.
btw, did you ever see the movie, The Madness of King George? If not, I recommend it.

(62,968 posts)* "Motor Abnormalities: People with schizophrenia can experience a range of motor difficulties, including a shuffling gait, slowed movements, stiffness, and problems with coordination and balance.
*Balance Impairment: Studies have shown that individuals with schizophrenia often have reduced postural control, meaning they have more difficulty maintaining balance while standing. This can impact their ability to walk in a straight line, as it makes it harder to keep their center of gravity over their base of support.
*Sensory Integration Issues: Schizophrenia may also be associated with problems in processing and integrating sensory information (visual, somatosensory, and vestibular), which is crucial for maintaining balance and coordinating movements. This difficulty can affect their ability to adjust their gait and posture, leading to a less stable walk.
*Psychomotor Slowing: Reduced walking speed and shorter stride length are associated with psychomotor slowing in schizophrenia. This can make walking in a straight line feel more difficult and require more effort.
Important Note: It's important to remember that not everyone with schizophrenia will experience difficulties walking in a straight line. The severity of motor abnormalities can vary significantly between individuals.
That symptom seemed evident on the red carpet in Alaska.
I also imagine that he is getting played by some of the people around him that understand this, and I was thinking of Loomer's apparent hold in convincing him not to allow child amputees to immigrate from Gaza for treatment here because they had adult guardians. That's how she was successful in painting their parents as Hamas or terrorists.
I haven't seen that movie yet, but I will make a point of checking it out.
