My Congress Rep, Nick LaLota, NY1, doesn't know if slavery was bad

I called his office today and asked his aide if he thought the Smithsonian African American Museum should stop displaying exhibits about slavery being bad.
His answer was the Congressman hadn't issued a statement about that so he didn't know.
I said, you know, that's not a hard question. Yes or No, is slavery bad? He told me he couldn't answer.
I truly can't believe this asshole represents me.

There is no community, no social good, just private interests in the GOP mind. So everything is as it relates to them, to their own self-interest.

Shit lie and say that the country is past that. Its not, the reverberations of slavery is still being felt. But you couldn't even say yes it was wrong but we are past that???
